Three Fall Cleaning Tips That'll Save You This Winter!

We’d all like to stay in summer as long as possible but fall is peaking around the corner with winter not far behind. Today we’re sharing a few things you can do to prepare your home for the cooler season. Take the time to do these things now and you’ll thank yourself when spring comes again next year!

Clean and Store your Outdoor Furniture & Supplies

Preserve the longevity of your patio set by storing it in the garage or basement away from that harsh Alberta winter! It’s also time to hose down your pool floaties and let them dry on the deck. An extra hour spent now clearing away your summer items will make life feel so much easier next summer!

Clear your Gutters and Clean up the Yard

Soak up all that extra sunshine before it cools down and get that landscape work done! Clean gutters, winterize plants, and bring small planters inside. Empty the water from your garden hose and roll it up for storage in the garage. Make sure you bring in everything from the yard so you don’t lose it all under the first snowfall!

Change Filters and Batteries

With the change of the seasons, it’s time to check your filters: furnace, humidifier, air conditioner etc.. It’s also a good time to check on any batteries for garage openers, doorbell cameras, and electronic locks. Best to take the time now to replace them before you get locked out in -30!
