Preparing your home for Halloween!
We’re into October now and in a couple of weeks, you’ll have dozens of little ghosts and goblins coming to your doorstep in search of treats! Here’s some tips that are great for making your home ready for Trick or Treating while also sneakily getting your entryway and front yard ready for winter!
Organize your Entryway
Eliminate tripping hazards while you’re rushing back and forth from the door to the kitchen! If you haven’t already, switch your front entry from summer to winter. This means putting away flip flops and pool toys and bringing out mittens and snow boots! By cleaning and boxing up out of season items, you’ll find that there’s less opportunity for tripping over things while getting the door!

Clear your Porch and Pathways
Don’t leave your cleaning to just the indoors! Clear your porch of out of season items and take care of any last minute landscaping before the snow hits. Wipe your windows and make sure your pathways are clear of any debris!
Check your Lights
Spiderwebs are great Halloween decorations but we recommend cleaning in and around your outdoor lights as part of your fall cleaning! Replace any lightbulbs that have burnt out and check that your pathways are well lit for any evening visitors.

Stock up on Candy!
Lastly - make sure you’ve done a candy run and you’re good to go! We recommend doing this no more than a week before Halloween or else you might find your supply disappears!
