If you haven’t heard, our Bonavista home WON an award for Best Home Renovation (without addition) and Best Ensuite from BILD Alberta! We couldn’t be prouder of this home, and our team for bringing it to life!
We wanted to talk a little bit about this WINNING space, and how this home came to life!

Although our clients, Mark and Nancy, found the perfect location for their growing family, the house was nowhere near perfect to accommodate them and their lifestyle. Therefore, a ton of changes had to be made in order to create the PERFECT space that could become their forever home.
After redesigning the layout, adding some structural changes to move walls (and even staircases) - we were able to repurpose the square footage to accommodate this family in the BEST way possible. Creating a space, they could LOVE and grow with!
Here are our favorite elements about some of the main rooms that were renovated with Crafted Edge Homes!
LIVING ROOM // This space had the bones of a beautiful room; it just needed an update! We gave it new floors, updated the stone fireplace and added new black frame windows that absolutely make the space! Our favorite element of this living room has to be the ceiling. The original space already gave us the inspiration for a statement ceiling, we just provided a facelift!
KITCHEN // UPDATED, bright and beautiful! One of our favorite elements of this space have to be the color of the island, giving it a striking contrast to the bright white of the surrounding cabinets and countertop. Another favorite element are the bulb lights that hang down and provide a little gold to the room. Also, don’t you love the open shelves and long gold drawer pulls?
BATHROOM // Can you even believe this is a bathroom FOR KIDS? It’s a “kids bathroom” with the sophistication of an ensuite. The double sinks and wood medicine cabinets provide the perfect storage space. The best part of this room has to be the tile. The dark hexagon tile for the flooring and marble accents on the shower tile!
ENSUITE BATHROOM // A winning bathroom! There are so many elements of this space that we love, we can’t even mention them all! The bathtub has to be our favorite. Especially the way it is placed between the dual sinks. Sitting just below the oversized black framed window, this makes for a perfect relaxing, modern space.
DINING ROOM // There just aren’t enough formal dining rooms anymore. With a growing family, this is a space that is NEEDED in a home. A place to enjoy your dinner time, and catch up with the family! This space is bright, elegant and provides the perfect spot for the family, or a FABULOUS dinner party!
